OLD WAVERLY GOLF CLUB - 1999 will be a very memorable year for Old Waverly Golf Club. Hosting the 1999 U.S. Women's Open Championship during our Ten Year Anniversary is a dream come true for all of us associated with Old Waverly. The golf course was designed by the renowned team of Jerry Pate and Bob Cupp in 1988. Taking full advantage of the area's natural beauty, they developed a course that offers a masterful blend of charm and challenge. Old Waverly has emerged as the top rated course in Mississippi and has earned its way into the Golf Digest's Top 100 Greatest Golf Courses.
The U.S. Women's Open will give all of us an opportunity to showcase our area with our outstanding golf course into the international spotlight. We thank all the people who helped prepare and execute this first national sporting event ever in Mississippi.
